WHAT IS THE ROADMAP: DIGITALIZATION FOR A MINING 4.0?

It is a publication developed by the Mining Council, Fundación Chile and Corporación Alta Ley with the support of Corfo and the technical advice of the Interop program, which seeks to guide and identify those areas where new technologies can add more value in the next 15 years.

The development of this new Roadmap also seeks to enable a portfolio of projects and activities for the short, medium and long term that aims at the development of industry 4.0 in mining, the interoperability of information systems and the digitization of the industry .

In addition, it will serve as a tool that will guide technological innovation decisions, reducing the risk of investments in technology, helping the industry to take control over market opportunities, and reducing entry barriers to facilitate the entry of local suppliers.

Primera versión de Casos de Innovación de Proveedores de la Minería Chilena.

This publication highlights the efforts that companies in the sector have made to introduce high-impact technological improvements for the industry. A brief account describes how these suppliers identified a problem and deployed different strategies to achieve an efficient solution, positively impacting the operation of their customers and, at the same time, their own companies.

In this first version, the variables used in the selection of the outstanding companies included: presence of a highly trained team; high level of sophistication of innovation; scaling up and exporting innovation; high level of linkage with other providers, universities and public and private institutions.
